Antique Kodak No. 3A Folding Pocket Model B3 Camera 1906-1908

I could probably get carried away in Canemah's Etsy shop.  They've such a beautiful selection of vintage cameras, most of which are still working.   The best bit is they're not too astronomically priced.  The Kodak Pony above is only $29!!

Project Upholster- episode 2

seat minus ugly upholstery
Who'd have thought there'd be some cheap plywood under all the frills and nasty pink fabric?

Project Upholster- Before

Slightly scabby retro seat complete with suspicious stains!!!!

On a whim I signed up for upholstery evening classes.  Here's my first project.  I procured this delightful seat from S. Burns in Prestonpans. Head there for all kinds of junk you never knew you needed!

Sunshine on Leith

The latest burst of sunshine has made me crave some outside space.  I want a balcony!
Some snuggly seating and soft lighting...

and some lush green plants
(unlikley, when I can bearly keep basil alive in the kitchen!)

All I Heard Was The Echo In The Light- Christopher Bettig

All images copyright Christopher Bettig

My favourite Edinburgh shop/gallery, Analogue has a Christopher Bettig exhibition opening tomorrow.  Can't wait to check it out.  I first saw his stuff in Giant Robot San francisco and fell in love.  Think I need some additions to my picture shelves!!!

Watercolour Tattoos

I've never really been tempted by a tattoo until I saw these works of art by Amanda Wachob-they're just so delicate and beautiful.  They remind me of a Joan Miro painting.

I love this animation!

Found this on Spike Jones and Friends blog weloveyouso.com  Its a visual feast of delights that inspired the film 'Where the Wild Things Are'

My new toy

I found this old printing press in a junk shop in Edinburgh called Unicorn Antiques.  It's possibly the best place in edinburgh to buy old stuff.  They've got  everything you could ever want and best of all is the warren goodies downstairs!!!  I can't wait to get some fresh inks and squeegees and get printing. :)

The picture shelves

Top shelf L to R Beck Jackass 7", Pug love by Retro Whale, Tennents Can by Ant Macari
Bottom shelf L to R Illustration by Ant Macari, $ letterpress block from ebay, candle stick- gift from Ghana (thanks Jen!), Au Revoir, Bonjour by Retro Whale, San Francisco tram print by Two Guitars

The Picture shelves are coming together nicely.  Just need to add to my collection now....
